    Hello Again! (SOLVED, Engine replacement)

I have not fitted that, nor heard of it, though while searching I found: Is this it? To be fair I think the temp sensor got dripped on with quite hot coolant as it was a little loose when putting the whole engine together so easily could've damaged it.

    Back door issues

As Andy said, likely to be the motor, was the first thing I did on my fl1 and still the worst thing to date (I've replaced the engine) but I'm also not very smart so :p Good luck!

    Back door issues

Personally I give the not right under the handle a good kick, that engages the servo that pulls the latch release and open the boot. When you use the handle or button in the boot does it make an opening noise? Or is it silent? Sometimes the hook that pulls the latch release falls off and can't...

    Hello Again! (SOLVED, Engine replacement)

Update! 200 miles done and I have fixed the exhaust issue by removing and re-fitting the engine mounts on the right order. However it may be the new engine but I'm not sure if it's safe to drive, when stationary the temp guage goes up to temp and stays there but when I start driving its all...

    Hello Again! (SOLVED, Engine replacement)

Hey! I have been doing some work yesterday on this one and good news is that the issue was with the driveshaft being cooked, after replacing with one that I could get there and then (GSP) not sure if it is any good, that resolve the problem, only problem I got now is the exhaust rubbing on the...

    K Series Freelander 1 - highest mileage?

Shame you had to let it go! Did you ever do the HG on it? would be interesting to think that a K-Series 1.8 managed 220K without a failure!

    Hello! Late...

Hello all! I am a few months late to this as I was really just lurking in the Freelander forum But I have a FL1 1.8K Series that I have at this point built from the ground up but only driven a couple hundred miles  But it has been fun and an experience all so friendly here! So Hey!

    GKN Driveshafts worth it?

Yeah, and with a lift that only increases the wear. The problem may not even be driveshaft but is the latest issue in this post https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/hello-again.394498/page-2 and my almost fully rebuilt fl1 at this point 😆

    GKN Driveshafts worth it?

Hey! So I may need to replace the driveshaft on my 1.8 FL1 but I have heard the GKN ones are worth the cost as they are not cheap rubbish. I took a look and at £60 for one or £100 for two non GKN ones for one GKN one at £320 is it really worth it! I would expect for 6x the price they last 6x...

    Hello Again! (SOLVED, Engine replacement)

Yeah I checked the brake discs first but that side I ripped it off almost 6 month ago haha! Will be removing the driveshaft by the sounds of it and just having a look, it did come up on the mot a while ago but we shall see, it's weird I was test driving it took off on a round about felt like...

HELP PLEASE. Rear Loading bay window

Just speaking from experience but I believe the TD4 and the 1.8 have slightly different glass as I swapped my scratched 1.8 glass with the TD4 and have the same issue even with adjustments I cannot get it to line up, I just press it into fit and leave it like that until I can be bothered to fix...

    Hello Again! (SOLVED, Engine replacement)

Finally got it all back together and on her first drive there were some noises most fixed by a simple loose bolt but one in particular which is a very loud grinding from the front. Upon inspection the exhaust was grinding on the prop where it attaches to the IRD, we couldn't figure out why so...
