Thanks for the correction, I have never myself changed to lock itself, i just remember a while ago changing the ECU and in doing so i had to change the computer also behind the fuse box so then i could use the fob from the the car i took the ecu out of, Regards

That would be the whole barrel you needed to change, a little more tricky , as far as i know the immobilizer is on the fob and communicates with the computer behind the fuse box so would be fine, however you would need to change door locks ect too regards

H,i there is no specialist tools you need but it is not a easy task, you will need a very long extension to undo the to top 15mm bolds which actually hold the ird in place, Rember to Drain oils and water, like i say i would remove the subframe as there is not much room to get the unit out. If...

When you turn the ignition on have a listen out for the fuel pump, I would put a little more fuel in and try again once the battery has charged regards

personaly i would try, if in dought its not to tricky to change the liners. i did have a full set of liners and pistons but stupidly left them in my old garage. if i can get hold of them your welcome to them regards

not far from me then, thetford autoparts has good prices and can get pretty much anything for the k series , they are widely availible anywhere. i would just put another piston in yours, check the shells while your down there, kind regards

AS far as im aware all freelander wings should fit, its only the bumper and lights ect that have been updated, but im not positive, i have done a face lift convertion on a 2001 with a 2005 and all looked in place, regards
