    Project Rusty.

You can get a repair section cheap as chips for the bottom panel that the boot floor sits on then just a few plates made up job sorted. Not 100% about outside skins but I would presume a s**t load of spot welds

    Quality RUST

If discos didn't rot away then we wouldn't have such an abundant supply of 2nd hand fantastic tdi engines to use. Also, it's not just Land Rovers. Nissan corrosion protection is shocking. I had a 2004 Patrol that looked lovely on top and ran great, but the underside looked like bear metal that...

Wanted NRC5743 Bracket . Now sorted

Cheers for that. I'd love to know where he found the brackets for £18 in that post. Might have a look at RR brackets. Actually picking up a gearbox tomorrow out of one so maybe he'll have the brackets tooo_Oo_O

Wanted NRC5743 Bracket . Now sorted

Hi there. Just wondered if anyone has the above transmission mounting bracket from an LT77 90 or 110 gathering dust and would like to part with it for some beer tokens? I travel a lot and have a couple of colleagues who do the same so location hopefully shouldn't be a problem. Cheers

    Hello from a new owner

Welcome aboard contrail. Hope you're enjoying your holiday. Now you have the Landy sorted, just need to fill it with jars of Marmite before you go back. Land Rovers and Marmite, I f**king love England!

    Snap, Crackle and Pop!

Sounds like a cv to me. Jack it up and spin the wheel with it on right hand lock. Have the swivels been kept greased/oiled? Also rember you need a wheel jacked to check ujs properly

    Engine woes Defender 90 Td5 2006.

Get some one to stick their hand over the tailpipe (when it's not too hot), for a couple of seconds while you check the exhaust for leaks. They'll be easier to hear/spot with the blowback caused. Start up at the exhaust manifold and work back to flexi and so on. I had an electrical module that...

Door Locking options on a 1984 LR 110

Not 100% but if the back door has a lift up handle internal and external then I think it's a different part number again, and not MUC4146. Although not sure what it is as mines a pick up so only did the fronts. Soz fella. Good luck

Door Locking options on a 1984 LR 110

Ah, good stuff. John Craddock Ltd in Stafford still do the MUC4146 if it's any help. At least they did about a month ago when I was having the same issue as you. Good luck truck looks nice

Door Locking options on a 1984 LR 110

It doesn't say in your post if doors are fitted at the mo. If they are and just locks that are the issue, ignore this. If not, remember, you may need different strikers for the lift handle type doors as different to push button strikers.

    Bloody mongrel 90!

Just trying to think out of the box here (bit late for bad puns I know), but as the VM has bearing as per pic fitted instead of bush, could I just get a generic bearing with a larger centre diameter eg to match the standard spigot bush from 200tdi etc? Meaning as long as I swapped the...

    Thoughts and advice on Spanners

Sometimes I just like to give them a polish and stroke them lovingly lol Hands down best tool I've ever brought though is a battery impact wrench sooo useful and time saving

    Thoughts and advice on Spanners

A set of extra long spanners like this come in really handy. Made by GearWrench who supply a lot of other companies like sykes. Teng are also v good. Also Facom and Beta but they are expensive.

    Bloody mongrel 90!

Also if above is true I presume that I'm stuck using the earlier and weaker type suffix D gearbox as it was only early Range Rovers fitted with the VM ad far as I can see?

    Rear black bumper coating.

They do Upol Raptor in a spray can now and gives a slightly smoother finish than a Shultz gun. Will also cover little imperfections in the repairs if needed. Not everyones cup of tea I know but another option.
