    Drop the oil, inspect drain plug and oil. WD40 and some scotch bite fit it and keep my fingers crossed. Hope its better than the existing and if not hopefully I'll have raised enough funds to get one of the boxes refurbed

    Ahh. A fair while id say. Still probably going to be an improvement on the current D suffix box in at the mo which sounds like a washing machine full of cutlery when in reverse. Cheers again

    James you're a diamond. I double checked it and although selecting most gears, it wasn't going in to 1st or 2nd fully. Put a rag around the mainshaft and then some mole grips. Little bit of force and boom. It gave way. Everything turns, all gears select and both shafts move freely in neutral...

    Right, just been out to garage to try again. Rear mainshaft turns a tiny bit each way about 5-10 degrees and you get the same clunking and loss of movement. When moving the rearshaft the front is moving too. Hope thats a good sign?
