    2.5 ton paperweight??

Do you think I should solder ALL the joints? Been on the Blackbox site & cant find any Rovacom-lite modules, so, does the Nanocom do everything my Rovacom did?

OK, thanks for that, re my other question, just how many connectors are we talking about?

    2.5 ton paperweight??

Although I already separated, checked, cleaned all the yellow connectors, I now wonder if I did it right, is there any danger of me somehow 'setting-off' the airbags by messing with them? I think I WILL do the above, at least that will be one potential problem out of the way. I know of 2, one by...

    2.5 ton paperweight??

Ah-ha! I just MIGHT have found the problem, upon checking all the modules on my Rovacom, I realise that id bought all the software for my old P38 which was a 1996 model, this 'new' one is 2002, maybe this is why it reads some as they are all common to all models' Just been on the Blackbox...

Is it possible to send ALL the ECUs someplace for them to be inspected and or repaired??

    2.5 ton paperweight??

ALL connectors have been cleaned/sprayed with contact cleaner, ( they were very good anyway ) ALL sensors have been removed & they were also like new, pulled out very easily. ALL bulbs in dash have also been renewed. Is there a way I can somehow test the sensors? as I haven't yet managed to get...

    2.5 ton paperweight??

Chequered history? A bit of 'fiddling'?? Went on the Gov website to check on MOT history etc. Its been off the road for many years, but for its last 3 it failed on ABS, SRS, & a wheel nut missing off each wheel!! Now here's the 'iffy' bit, there was a PASS a few hours later the same day at a...

    2.5 ton paperweight??

That one I looked at said it was for central locking & alarm, do you think it might have the 3 switches? Or, is it possible to strip & repair/replace them? I'd rather buy new as it SHOULD be reliable.

    2.5 ton paperweight??

Would this still be the case for me as when I do the EKA code it works perfect. If so, where do I get the parts/replacements?

    2.5 ton paperweight??

Topped up a couple of times with the engine running. Only plucked up courage once to run it round the block & I was very cautious, also, it hadn't run since 2014 so & it was very sluggish, Yesterday, I ran it until warm, then absolutely 'floored' it & it took off like a scalded cat, really...

    2.5 ton paperweight??

On my last P38 (12 yrs ago ) the rad blew, so when I fitted a replacement, I also fitted an 18" Kenlow fan, this had a thermostat with a hose-probe, & an illuminated override switch, which I found an easy install, & it worked great, even when towing my huge trailer. I'll obviously get all the...

    2.5 ton paperweight??

Ah-ha! not a silly idea at all then!! Would you be prepared to share your method, wiring etc. does it affect the A/C operation? Can I leave off the original fan shroud, that would make for great front-end access!!

    2.5 ton paperweight??

Pulled the rad today for a bit of a front end clean & degrease, the viscous fan assy is a bit stiff, I can easily turn it by hand, but dont know just how easy it should be! Got me thinking, ( I do that now & again) would it be possible to hook up the twin AC fans to a switch/stat to use instead...

    2.5 ton paperweight??

Well peeps, its been a while, & a lot to go on about. Right, I'm getting on for 80 now & realise I might have bitten off too much, so I searched everywhere for a mobile mechanic to fit the viscous coupling, but after weeks looking, no-one seemed interested, so I though 'what the hell, one bolt...

P38A Fixed the 'CLAK' noise when opening doors. With pics.

Good job, however, I would use a bolt rather than a setscrew since the thread of the setscrew can wear the hole in the strap, whereas a bolt has the smooth shank bearing on the strap-hole, should never really wear at all then. Sorry, but its the engineer in me coming out!!

    2.5 ton paperweight??

OK gents, many thanks for that, I have something to look at now, It WOULD be under passenger side wouldn't it, it was a right cow putting that glovebox assy back! ABS sensors, are they the units that fit into each wheel hub??
