    Ignition Lock Removal

WD40 can attract dust, you can buy specific lock grease, or use graphite grease which is a powder.

Well now I've got to the end, may as well put my four penneth worth in. Similar problem with my Disco'. Local garage used a socket which cuts into the bolt to hold it then a ratchet gun. Followed by a new sump plug. ;)

Freelander 2 (LR2) Rear centre seat belt removal

I thought it was built into the rear seat back. Was webbing damaged or was it jamming ? Jamming can be caused by seat back not being securely latched.

    Ignition Lock Removal

Took mine to a Lock specialist along with V5. I removed trim first and they did job for £70 Quid. They drilled it out, doesn't take long with correct kit.

    What does this do?

Was it Clarkson on Top Gear ay back when he demonstrated starting a Tractor with the Shotgun cartridge ? Clever idea.

    What does this do?

Very similar system to early Transits. On really cold days when Diesel would 'jellyfi' the fitter would soak a rag in diesel and use a welding rod to stuff it down the intake whilst we turned it over. And I should mention he set light to it ! Not just a wet rag ;) Happy Days :)

Series 3 Heater Pipes, spare parts numbers - or selfmade

Funnily enough I only recently read about the Monkey Hanging. Worked around there years back and never knew. :)

    Freelander 2 buying advice

U could try a hair dryer in there without taking it out, but the screws are plastic so you could use a pick to prise them out.

    Freelander 2 buying advice

I had same issue, initially thought it was battery in fob. But once dried out all was fine.

    Freelander 2 buying advice

Not if your careful. Take trim off from around sunroof if you have one, rear interior light retaining screw and you should be able to get in there. Two plastic scrivets holding it in. Unplug take out and dry out. Overnight in bowl of rice sorted mine. Seal it before putting back. Really upto...

    Freelander 2 buying advice

Ask a question about almost any car and you will be met with a range of answers, suggestions and anecdotes. Give it a good look over and make your own mind up. You know a lot of it's history so that is a good start. Buy because you want, not because it is available. And if you haven't already...

RED WARNING LIGHT - Land Rover Discovery Sport 2020

Not sure why water would affect it unless it got into a connector or the PCM, unlikely. The N0x sensors are on the exhaust. There is one in the centre right underneath the car which is reasonably accessible. Maybe worth checking this for water in connector. Total guess but does it have Ad Blue...

    Electric Nightmares (glowplug/relays/fuses)

Check if it has a Ballast Resistor. Original 2A if Diesel would have had one, the TDi would not. The Ballast Resistor would reduce the voltage to plugs if still wired that way. It seems strange that most circuits have an excess of fuses and relays yet probably the highest draw does not. 🤔 You do...

Other what have u done on ur disco today

Not done it on a D2 but with decent access it should not be that difficult. Disconnect battery first, have decent selection of metric spanners and take your time. You may have to loosen the tensioner first to get belt off but again this is fairly straight forward. Have a browse of the site, it...

    Discovery II - Tyre Comparison

When bought my Disco' 2 TD5 had Pirelli Scorpions. I found these ok, with little road noise and pretty good in the wet but not so good in snow and mud. I switched to BFG KO2, there was a definite uplift in noise but not to bad. Grip in snow and mud was way better. The biggest down side was...

    V5 Update

I think the thing to do is wait 'til any other changes have been completed so as not to complicate matters.

    V5 Update

Quite simple in the end. I filled in the V5 ticking the Diesel box, leaving engine number blank. I included a written note explaining that the diesel had been fitted prior to my ownership and was a LandRover engine of equivalent spec' as the petrol. V5 returned couple of weeks later duly updated.

Series 2a Compliance Check and Warrant of Fittness

Yea BMMIHT is a good place to start for info', but is there an owners club in your part of the World you could ask ? Options and requirements differ dependant on Market. I am pretty sure no seatbelts where fitted for the UK market and the Passenger wiper was an option.
