If you have confirmed motor and switch are ok it could well be a BCU issue, but I would check door loom for any damage first, particularly at the umbilical.

Mine did similar. I was able to remove trim with door closed. Once trim off I opened by pulling cable with hand. The plastic clip the attached cable to handle had snapped.

Ha ! I bought the Mondeo new in 2000, ran for few years, sold it to my Dad for a Grand. Then last year bought it back in exchange for a 2012 Fiesta ! The Series has generally been reliable but I enjoy tinkering . . .

I was going to suggest checking all the Earth's, but yes, it does sound like the ECU fault has thrown up other issues ?

If no fuel at injector, does it have the high pressure pump ? Some V8's have a swirl pot in Tank and High pressure pump, possibly underneath the car?

Tempting but no, I have enough issues of my own. :) It a shame, but appears you where misinformed from day one. I have heard the easy start problem many times over the years but to be honest if it won't start with that there is some issues ! The V8 is is usually quite an easy engine to work on...

Relay was on RHF wing near battery. It was a distinctive 'click' that was heard inside, but light is better.

No, apparently not. It is same size and original LandRover engine.

Pretty sure it is in the settings. Not the easiest menu I recall. Use the steering wheel buttons to scroll through the menu which appears in centre of cluster.
