Swapping my rear 2 seats for 3 seats

As Nodge said, DVLA may not allow 3 rear passengers by design, because of the lift off roof.

    Towing problem

From what I understand, many Witter tow bars have been EC type approved for drop plate use on many vehicles, including Range Rover, Disco, and Defender. You could ask about the Freelander

Day Time Running Lights (DRL's) made easy... Part 1

Operating them is a doddle, using a relay NC to run them, and the sidelights to switch from NC to NO , it is where to put them, and how to fit them. I thought of popping a headlight off to see how the lense is fixed, if butyl rubber it is a cinch.

Day Time Running Lights (DRL's) made easy... Part 1

Hurry up!!! Have fitted them to MG Rover headlights, softening the Butyl in the oven, then separating the lense from the case, using angel eyes as DRL's. Also did similar to my GoldWing.

Freelander 1 Rear light unit leak, fix 100%

Ok, so thought I would finally stop the water getting into SWMBO's lower rear lights. Some rubber grease on the holder seals. Dremel a small groove along where the lense and rear are fixed together, seal it. Sorted Remove torx screws Unplug indicator bulb holder. Unplug stop bulb holder. Drop...

    Egr Blanking Mod

Full = 480 miles 1/2 = 240 miles 1/4 =110 miles I personally do not see the need for range to the mile, I could never trust 'range 50 nearest fuel 45, sweet'. SWMBO's Td4 is always filled up before it gets to 1/4.

    FL1 TD4 head gasket question please ...

If I was faced with your issues. You offered me the skimmed head for free. So Replace a good Td4 head that is merely clogged and married to its block with no warping etc, for one that has been skimmed, valves ground in, questioning the gasket. Or. Clean up the head, smooth any cast flashes in...

    Help no power

Check all your air hoses. hopefully one may be knackered or adrift. This is stating the obvious but you have not mentioned the air filter, and fuel filter. Did it have the problem when you bought it, or has it developed since you bought it, if so when, how many miles have you done. Do you know...

Designed to be happy ay 165 - 170, not detuned to 116 - 131. You will...

    Freelander 1 Heater

Nice that it was an easy diagnosis and fix. Still intrigued by your "half way up after ticking over for 10 mins" You must have a FBH. Still working after 12 years at least without a service.

    Freelander 1 Heater

12 years. Have you actively kept the engine serviced, EGR, PCV etc. When it gets hot feel the heater matrix hoses that go in and out of the bulkhead, to see if the one that comes out is as hot as the one that goes in. If the return hose is cold, the centre console will have to come out I would say.

    Freelander 1 Heater

did it start to blow colder air all by itself, while you were driving, or from cold start, when you turned temp control dial from hot to cold etc.

    Freelander 1 Heater

FBH is a fuel burning heater, bit like a micro central heating boiler, used to defrost the screen, pre heat cabin, and lets the temp needle go past 7 o clock. If it has just stopped working, you will notice a HUGE difference. But I do not see how your temp gauge goes up to half way without one...
