A lot of the videos showing off-road vehicles getting stuck on YouTube are more to do with the driver not having a clue how to drive, making the vehicle look look like it has failed...!?

Bit of fun on the way home from Cromer, the Freelander drove so well, egr valve blanking plate has made it smoother although fuel economy isn’t much different!?... might look at a remap for that?.. but want it done properly on a rolling road with accurate readings. Looking for fuel economy...

Fitted the blanking plate today and took it for a drive around the country side. Noticeably different and smoother up through the gears. (Pulls harder) Will keep an eye on the trip computer to see how it affects the mpg. .... best 4quid I’ve spent in a long time. Thumbs up.

Thanks for replying, as it’s raining and blowing a gail outside I’ll do it tomorrow and see if there’s a noticeable difference. It runs quite smooth anyhow, but if it helps to keep the engine ware down and increase mpg it is a no brainier.... got to be worth a try a 4 quid! Next job is to check...

Think I might have misinterpreted, or led off the thread a little!!? I have just purchased the blanking plate only. (£4.00 eBay) for my FL2... Not a full bypass.... sorry.... my bad!
