To answer my own question- you wouldn't make it to an MOT station. Only drove 1 mile before it came flying of- fotunately i was only going 5mph (and heading back into my road) :D

I had to change the UJ's. I was using a vice to push the cups / shells? in- I used a nut on each end to ensure that I pushed the cup below the surface of the propshaft forks / u section. No matter how hard I cranked the vice I could not get the cup in far enough to get clips on both sides. I...

Scrape the contacts clean. mine stopped working as they were covered in crud- scraped it with my nail and it work a treat.

Would anyone hapen to have a 42mm socket or spanner I could borrow? I need to do my timing chain and have to get the dog / starter nut of. I was going to buy a socket but they are £25ish then I find they are 3/4" drive, which would mean by the time I buy a bar to go with it, it would work out...

i had a propex on my boat and changed it for a websto warm air. It was good, but a bit greed on the gas.

Had one on a boat with rads and it worked a treat. You do need an expantion tank with it. Don't quote me on this but if you only have one rad you may have problems with it cycling on and of to regularly? Having used the hot air system as well, my preference would be to go for the hot air...
