Hi I have a V8 P6 engine in a series 3 lightwight. At the moment its running on a fuel pump that alreadt fitted when the previous V6 engine was in. Can anyone advise me on what fuel pump is the best option. The engine is standard so has a standard carb. thanks Sean

Hi - totally new to the forum and this is my first thread. I've got a Series 3 Lightweight fitted with a 3.5L V8 (from a P6 Rover). Before the current engine it had a 2.3 or 2.8L V6 Ford engine. The problem - lack of power. It just seems to missing that V8 torque and especially uphill or...

i had a similar problem and it turned out my fuel tank was contaminated with water. I missed the signs cos it still smelt like fuel when in fact it was a mix. Tank drained, leaky cork seal renewed and its fine.
