Insa turbos Ranger or traction track tyre help

Is it raised? COuld be the chunky tread pattern (shoulders) of the Dakars that rubbed?

Carl-V8 would like an extra inch...

...but due to busyness/laziness/mild retardness, has not been able to get it sorted. He's tried all the pills, pumps, etc...but that's a different story. What he REALLY wants is an extra inch of suspension height for his Disco 1 V8. Looking to change the shocks and springs as both are pretty...

Insa turbos Ranger or traction track tyre help

Carl had Dakar's on his Discovery but swapped them for the Traction Tracks. This was partly because the Dakar's were 245's and rubbed, but they were also very noisy and not great in wet roads. I think he is a lot happier overall with the Traction Tracks.

What's the coolest/rarest thing you've seen on a RR Classic?

Ha, no, to go on my normal Classic!

What's the coolest/rarest thing you've seen on a RR Classic?

Actually, I do quite fancy a swingaway rear wheel carrier like this:

What's the coolest/rarest thing you've seen on a RR Classic?

Haha, why would you ever bother developing a Range Rover crop sprayer??

What's the coolest/rarest thing you've seen on a RR Classic?

Yeah I read about that too, crazy - some optician in scandinavia had it, bought it, prepared it for an expedition and seemingly never went and just left it in his garage - odd! The one 'factory' option I would really love is the LR winch + winch bumper - I love the "stock" lock and it's a well...

What's the coolest/rarest thing you've seen on a RR Classic?

That's what I'm talking about! The saddle rack was indeed an LR option, I'll let you know the code when I get home this evening if you're interested...!

What's the coolest/rarest thing you've seen on a RR Classic?

Was just reading an article in LRM about LandyPoint GmbH (Landypoint Sigmaringen) and it said something about "all sorts of modifications and additions that are alien to British eyes." Which got me thinking, what's the coolest/rarest/most interesting feature or item you have seen on a Range...

    Val D'Isere, Croisiere Blanche, etc...

Yeah that could be cool, would need someone with some local knowledge though to plot a route - can't really just point at a mountain and go!

    range rover expedition build

No matter where you live in the world, hot or cold, RR Classic is the way to go! Look, here's proof: Iceland: Africa: US of A: Good old Blighty: See? Perfect in all conditions!

My Range Rover Classic expedition project (ongoing, pics etc)

Naah that's not my type of laning at all - I hate scratchy lanes, I love my car too much!! The deep ruts would've caused most vehicles issues, as for the rutted climb after those tight trees - no chance!

4x4 Meet at ACE CAFE London Sat 18th Feb

Back on topic, what time does the meet start? As I could do a breakfast run to Ace Cafe but would need to be back by lunchtime!

Insa turbos Ranger or traction track tyre help

I've got the traction tracks on my RR Classic in a 235/70/16 format, CarlV8 has the same tyres on his Discovery 1 in a 235/85/16 format. Weirdly mine are quite a bit wider than his (see image below, can only assume because they are remoulds the exact width varies?) but the 85's do offer a useful...

    Val D'Isere, Croisiere Blanche, etc...

Damn, real shame the Croisiere Blacnhe no longer happens, would've loved to take part! What is with all these mis-informed do-gooders banning all fun? Seriously, i'm all for the environment, hell I live in the middle of the countryside because I enjoy it so much! But these people infuriate me...

    Bit of a problem looming

If you were closer I'd come tow it for you, but it's over an hour each way and I'm not up that way any time soon! Can you not just cut the tree down so it falls in the opposite direction? As someone said, a good tree surgeon should be able to do it without harming the Rangie - but hard to say...

    Range Rover Classic HGF ???

If only I did!! Haha! My knowledge is pretty much from here, but I had a similar issue on my first Classic when I bought it, but 2 hours down the m1 soon sorted it out. I would say a steady 60mph, but as I say, keep an eye on that temp gauge. If it even looks like it's heading above half way...

    range rover expedition build

Why the negativity fett? They're not that bad!! And across the pond they seem to be a popular and reliable expedition vehicle...they must like the warmer climates where most of them see to live! Looks like it - LHD, For Bronco's in the background, shotgun holes in the road signs... ;)

    Range Rover Classic HGF ???

As you say, moisture can build up in the oil if you're only doing short journeys, so I would take it on a run, minimum one hour, to allow it to get up to temperature. However, V8's can overheat SUPER quickly, so you need to keep an eye on things and make sure your temperature gauge is accurate...
