Did you do anything to the cooling system to help it cope with the heat? I've been advised to avoid Kenlowe fans as the electrics often fail, stick with the stock viscous unit and take a spare coupling. Also add Millers Coolant additive to the system to help it run a bit cooler.

You sure the viscous fan/coupling is working correctly? Sounds like plenty of cool air is reaching the radiator in normal use but at the lower offroad speeds it's not getting enough, which all points to the fan not working... Have you checked you have a thermostat fitted and it's working? Sound...

If it's a Land Rover, that's pretty normal! If it's Japenese, sell it quick - they should never rattle!! :D

Well the trip is 14 days and if I can get away with a couple of days either end I'll be happy. It's an organised trip with Trailmasters, so the Morocco element is a fixed 14 days, I've just got to get to Algericas in the most timely and cost efficient way possible! Being in a V8 (albeit on LPG)...

For me the SRS light was caused be a resistor somewhere, apparently. Goodyers reset the fault code but reckon the light will come back on at some point. With regards to the heated seat element, first thing to do is unplug the connector under the seat and firstly test that the switch is sending...
