No it's definitely a 300TDi, it was registered new in April 1999, so one of the final ones made in 1998!. I don't when that stopped final production exactly in 1998, may even have been early 1999when they stopped producing them?

Haven't checked the wheel bearings, but they're definitely worth checking. busterbus, from your photo's you've obviously done the T/B front bearing, were you doing an overhaul or had it failed. What noise did make if it failed? Thanks Matt
