    Turbo solenoid voltage

I was wrong on the rev counter, by the way, that figure will be calculated from the crankshaft sensor data, with only the speedo data coming from the wheel speed sensors.

    Freelander 2 (LR2) abs ring

Maybe you snapped a coil spring sometime?

    Turbo solenoid voltage

Those two are probably supplied their data from one of the ABS wheel speed sensors. Any ABS faults showing up? This following quote is from another thread, but may be worth checking out in your case: I think you need to get any codes read, too.

    Turbo solenoid voltage

Yes, usually a solenoid is traditionally a fully on or fully off device often built into a relay or other two state device. However, in this case it is used to provide a smoothly varying output from off to maximum. To do this, there are two common ways to control a solenoid. One is by using a...

Oil, of course! It's one of Solihull's finest.

You know when paintwork or similar is described as "distressed?" That one looks positively terrified, Wonk. ;) It should scrub up quite nicely.

    Turbo solenoid voltage

As a standard two wire solenoid, it should be polarity agnostic. So it will be fine either way round. The closest I have been able to find in my Haynes is listed as a turbo boost control pressure sensor but shown as a solenoid on the diagram with red and white from fuse 1 (15amp) in the engine...

    Freelander 2 (LR2) Scratch removal

Some plastic can be treated with a light application from a hot air gun but be careful and test in an inconspicuos area, as some plastics could be absolutely wrecked by this method. Acetone (commonly available in nail polish remover) on a cotton bud could be used on some types of plastic. This...

    Turbo solenoid voltage

Pretty sure the thing works on PWM, which is basically a fast switched voltage. At different duty cycles, the multimeter would show different (average) voltages.

Batterydyimg, won’t rev up won’t start ... codes say fuel pump...?

It is highly recommended on this forum to avoid the cheap fuel pumps as they are generally considered to be really problematic and short-lived. Go for the OEM Pierburg pump. I don't know of any gaskets or seals in particular, but I'm fairly sure there's some O ring seals involved.

    cold start problems td4

Not all glow plugs are created equal. The cheaper ones can be really poor performing. Stick to Bosch or Delphi or other good brand types, if you can.

    Freelander 1 TD4 Engine Problems

The con rod is the connecting rod between the piston and the crankshaft. You are likely thinking of the valve pushrods.

What have you done to your Freelander today

Got cheesed off trying to get my new tailgate regulator to work properly. Again. Maybe tomorrow. For now, it seems to want to stay in the up position. Previously, it had went to the down position and refused to come up. At least I know the mechanism and motor are working in general, now. Took a...
