To echo some of the comments above, a camper conversion tends to a "special" to the converter. In other words, they'll do it to a standard and budget that suits them or pay someone to do it to their spec. If you've done something other than what they might do themselves- given the time, money...

The standard side steps can be modified to fit the situation you've got. Put a plate on the top of the slider and long bolts down into the holes in the step mounts. As long as they're folded they don't create much of a problem for normal off-road use, although we've had one mangled in Morocco.
