Anyone know how these plugs come out please

ok, cool, thanks chaps. I'll have another go at it tomorrow and maybe use some mole grips on it as it seems to be completely rounded off. Hopefully if it comes out, I can top it up ok then. Thanks again, much appreciated :):)

Anyone know how these plugs come out please

Thanks gymmaniac . Is it a plastic pug tho because it seems to be really soft, I cant seem to get anything to grip onto it... When you say a 1/2 inch drive, is that a spanner or socket that fits in the middle (sorry for being a dumass non mechanic) o_Oo_Oo_O

Anyone know how these plugs come out please

Ive noticed some oil that's been coming out from the rear prop shaft on my disco 2. Ive been told its the prop shaft seal, which is apparently quite a easy fix. Not being a mechanic, its going to be a garage job, but in the mean time, I was told to check the oil level in the rear prop shaft by...

Any suggestions please for antenna wiring on D2 1998

Hi all, I currently have a mag mount on the roof for the Amm Radio and CB, but am going to change these to gutter mounts. Is there any natural holes or routes I can feed the leads through into the inside of the car, ideally without drilling holes. I hope to mount them on the front end of the...

    Disco 2 Reverse Camera

Hi ronsealdeath, yea, I did the same and wired it to my reversing lights now, mime was the green / Brown wire (probaĺly the same as yours ). I can see the tow hitch great as well. Bit of a shame I can't see the bumpersides, but I count with my other one I had on my Suzuki either. At least I can...

    Disco 2 Reverse Camera

Update I have now moved the rear camera onto the bumper. It sits just above the tow hitch but back far enough it wont get clobbered by a trailer being hitched up. The view is quite good, I can see the top of the tow ball which is the furthest part back on the vehical and the wide angle view...

Disco 2 Water getting into Gearbox

Thanks Stanleysteamer I would imagine that's more likely the problem. I cant recall or seeing the wading plugs being fitted or checked when the gearbox was put on. Next time its on the ramps, I'll get my chap to have a look and see if there are any fitted. If not, I'll try and get hold of some...

Disco 2 Water getting into Gearbox

Umm,:rolleyes::rolleyes: Thanks jamesmartin and discool. I think this one makes sense. Maybe it was a bit deeper than thought, or as discool says, it could be a oil seal gone or maybe dried out. It was a secondhand box we put in that had been lying about for a while.... in a field I...

Disco 2 Water getting into Gearbox

Hi all, I recently drove my Disco2 TD5 through a small ford, only bumper height. Didn't have no initial problems... But, it was due a gearbox oil change shortly afterwards because we had put a replacement one in earlier (Manual). When we took the FILL plug out, a load of watery gunk poured...

Any ideas what this wire is please

Ok thanks, I.have tried bridging the connectors, so I'm guessing they havnt put the right pressure in. Maybe why I was told to pit it in his mates garage for a electrical test but didn't want me about whilst they did it and said they would 're gas it for free. I might be being sinical, but that...

Any ideas what this wire is please

brill, thanks sierrafery At least I know where the ac sensor is. I did wonder if it was that one. If I unscrew it, and replace the sensor, would that discharge any gas in the ac system? Secondly, I can now try and chase the other BY wire I posted in the image. That does look like its coming...

Any ideas what this wire is please

Thanks sierrafery , Thanks for your reply and help, I think it may possibly be to do with the TPS as you mentioned as a earth. It kind of looks like someone had added a spade connector to it, as if they were going to put it on a earth point / connection somewhere and its snapped off (probably...

Well, update on mine and maybe linked in a way to gjmac s problem. Although I have now got a cheep multimeter, my dearest wife spotted a 2nd hand Hawkeye locally. Ended up buying this because it was coded for the D2 same as ours. I was able to check air con relay and also clutch; both...

Disco 2 Air con compressor fault

I will definitely stick with it mate, its got personal now lol... I must be so close because everything works fine when you bridge the relay plugs, so it must be something connected to the relay that's blocking the signal. I think I may get a cheep multi metre to help, rather than just pulling...
