What did you do with your Range Rover today

The bubbles are from the base of the injector and the head. Which says at least some compression is escaping. I did have these injectors refurbished a lot of years ago. So possible they have popped again? The wet does stop at around the base of the nut, but unless they're crossthreaded on are as...

I checked the usual things. I am guessing these have crush washers? Because I'd #1s has failed. Engine running I get all of the bubbles.

On to the next problem. #1 Seems to be sitting in fuel. Replaced the spill off pipe as that seems to be a reoccurring problem (hard to start after sitting overnight) since spill off seems to be absolutely dog ****e these days. But I am starting to wonder if there is an issue with #1. It only...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

First time I have washed her in over a year. I think it was 2020 when the belt tensioner gave up on life, and I am sure that was the last time I washed her. Again as a "plz work" promise.

Washed her. I made a promise on Friday if she behaved and actually started working again I'd clean her up. But I didn't mention that I am not or ever will be a valet.

It is OK, I'll forgive you this once. But don't let it happen again. Or I'll set The Moo onto you. And she is a ferocious killer.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

So I can only assume sometime in the past when this ol bus was a farm wagon the loom got damaged. Looks like there was damp underthere are one point because rust, which is probably what fried the repair. I think I know what the source of liquid is (drivers door is bent) so I got some thicc door...

Could've sold this when I still lived in Hounslow. So inconsiderate.

Wooooooo! [Edit: Could tell she has been sitting a while. So much black death when she caught. Smoked out the neighbourhood.]

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Good news! I got the EKA entered and the engine will crank. Bad news! The battery didn't like all of the ****ing around I have been doing with the electrics on and off for the last month so it is now dead. Lesson learned, back on charge and hopefully I can get her fired up soon. Probably just in...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

So this was the state of the joints in this repair. I put in a few patches which appears to have worked, but I had to wait 30mins for Key Code Lockout, so I'll try starting it in the morning. Not 100% happy with my patch though, so I've ordered a soldering iron to do it properly. Crimps just...

It appears I am not the first to make a repair in here. That is not original gauge wire.

Not gonna lie, that is exactly what I look like to the neighbours.

Yellow with red appears to be part of the window circuit. But between the window motor and the door outstation. If there is no continuity across it then you just need to splice in a repair across it.

Pins on my bypass loom were too fat. Boooo! Going to plunder the greenie store tomorrow and get some of their expense. Soon this mess will be gone. Soooooon!

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Did a little more investigation on the loom. Think we've found the culprit. Making a bypass loom to test the theory. But pins 9 and 19 do not have continuity between BeCM and A post. I must've confused what I tested previously. Glad I started mapping out the diagram. Hopefully my sanity...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

I thought it'd be something important. I figured best test would be to make a temp bypass loom for them (one at a time, then a combination of), to see if it solves the problem. At least then I could either isolate a fault, or rule out everything loombased from the door to the BeCM. I am hoping...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Following on, the pinout I am using suggests that these 3 pins are important pins. But it doesn't say what they do. Pretty sure I tested them for continuity, but as they are output only I can't imagine they'd help with the whole door open, etc issue. Unless they are input and output? Wish there...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

I feel like I should've started a new thread to log this absolute ballache of a fault finding. Unplugged the BBUS and tested the theory that the boot is unlocked as long as the drivers door is. I was right, so the earth is good. I can't remember everything I checked the last few days, but I know...

Its me thats poorly this time

I have one of those scars too. Mine is from getting knocked off my bike as a kid and the handlebars ripping open my bowl. Stings like a bastard when you get sunburn on it. Hopefully the followup treatment knocks the cancer out the park.
