Timing belt?

Well it's home. Had to replace some brake pipe & complained about time it took so as not to break other parts; well it is 16 year old. £180 final price.

I supplied all the parts. Curious as to how much extra it will be with having to fit new callipers (cost £150). Is it much more time wise fitting the callipers?

You 'tratter drivers are nuts paying that amount!

Hopefully picking it up today so I'll put you lot out of your misery and post the price. Original quote £100 to replace discs & pads; had to replace callipers at same time so, name final price. Winner gets half my Mars Bar:p

Update; was told that 4 callipers were shot and needed replacing. Is this likely to be a significant increase in labour time/charges?

Been using these guys for 25 years & the guy knows the 300 series well. Booked in for Tuesday. Asked about timing belt & quoted the same £100.

If it was the pump would it not be like that all the time. I jumped on the brakes after this ( industrial estate) and it braked fine, straight & quickly.

Pads are fine..

Nope, I know what ABS feels like, and anyway I was only doing about 15mph. It felt like metal on gravel. When the ABS light stayed on again the brakes went back to normal.
