handy thing is there...get ya boss to get prop off for ya..40 min job...get them bearings sorted my 53 plate td4 just done 83..so hoping good for a while yet

and refit with best quality from some where like bell engineering , grumpygel is spot on , dont do ebay junk

ive recently had my vcu done and drove it for few weeks in 2wd..felt lose and wayward ..didnt like it, plus we got snow on the way ..and ice or so they say..with wheels just being balanced look to see if a wheel wt hasn't come off..its easy to drop the prop so you could do that just to see if...

ide go for U Js..or bearing carriers on vcu...presume youve had wheels balanced and not had a wheel wt fall off

i think most self maintaining car owners do there best but have limited knowledge enhanced by experience, i do have a good grounding as an ex mechanic but landrovers are new to me in that they always went to specialists for repair, but as an ex mechanic when trying to help the ordinary home...

if two cylinders are not firing it wont start the 2 black plugs are showing that, compression test the 2 cylinders i think its not good news sorry to say

when you put the make in ..put land rover not landrover it wont accept landrover

need to contact dvla to go onto goverment site..google check my vehicle as thats the data base police.. ins..use, when i put private plate on mine it took 48 hrs to show..if it says rangerover but v5 says freelander or defender ring them, as if they issued the vd the data base has to show whats...

can be lot of inconvenience ..getting car there..getting to work ..back to the garage,,i know..lol..sun tomoz..few hrs checking a few things wont harm and if it is bad earths ..easy fix..new batt an alternator in winter not bad idea ....he wont get car in few days anyway prob..
