on a 53 plate TD6 just what information does the screen display ? is it just radio station and tv/sat nav or can you bring up 4x4 info like on the D3's ? I'm not that bothered about the tv or indeed sat nav but the 4x4 info might be good to watch or else i'll knock it off my "must have" list...

there is no sound coming out of your subs because you've changed the head unit and the subs have lost their signal it's quite easy to get them working again if you have RCA outputs on the back of the new head unit.

have you got air con ? if you have then if you get stuck in traffic turn that on it will bring the two electric fans on at the front and blow some air through.

everybody has a fan removing tool, it comes in two parts 1. hammer 2. long screw driver and it will come out of the top no problem and once it's off leave it off

no a tuning box goes in between the engine and the ECU, taking information from the ECU altering it, then sending it out to the engine. imagine the engine sending out a signal of 1, the tuning box adds it's little bit and sends the engine 1.25 removing it will just revert it back to standard.

ah right in that case probably not a tracker then lol. looks like it might be a tuning box of some sort then. disconnect it and see if there is any change

Before you start adding the non essentials might I sugest that you do a few essentials first ? A good service changing all the filters and cleaning out the sedimenter, flush out the intercooler, change all the drive belts maybe even cam belt, change diff oils,transfer box oil and gearbox oil...
