    Aaron's 90 rebuild

Cant believe you are selling this after all your work Aaron. Its worth every penny of £5k when I saw the work you were putting into it. (Light bar on and working!)

    Starting problem

Looked at this job myself over the weekend. You can get just the new end of the key assembly (electrical switch), held in by grub screws. Such is my eyesight through I couldn't see whether they were allen key grub screws or not. Anyone know?

    Strange ignition issue!!

Well found it at last! Checked absolutely everything and found that he previous own had taken a live from the auxillary fused cable (purple) into one of the flasher unit connectors! So it was getting a constant feed. I think he had by passed the hazard switch previously as that was dodgy. But I...

    Strange ignition issue!!

Ok, thanks James. yes Simon, not the loom as isolated that. Think I will try the glow plug relay as did knock that not too long ago when doing some engine work. Its not the ignition switch as tried that.

    Strange ignition issue!!

Ok Guys bear with me and please help, this is driving me nuts. I have checked all earths (chassis, lights, engine, bulkhead). All Ok. Checked chassis entry and exit points, fine. Isolated the chassis loom and still have the problem. Isolated all the feeds to steering column stalks etc, still...

    Strange ignition issue!!

Isolated it all down to the hazard warning light switch which looks very dodgy. Remove this and its fine. Will try a new one!

    Strange ignition issue!!

OK, a job for the weekend. But I was hoping the symptoms may give me a bit of a clue as to the issue

    Strange ignition issue!!

and finally the only other thing I can add is that with fuse 5 out, if I put my hazard switch on the fuel gauge doesn't work. If I leave hazards on and put fuse 5 on it does, it also comes back on if I turn hazards off. Aaaaaaaaaaaaagh

    Strange ignition issue!!

OK, possibly narrowing it down but need more advice please! Checked all the wired on back of ignition switch. Even when I took them all off, including the big brown feed, I still had ignition/oil light/solenoid feed! So not the switch. No obvious burnt out wires or rubbing. So then pulled all...

    Strange ignition issue!!

Read a few more threads. After yesterdays journey I had the front nearside indicator bulb go. So put another one in and got that working OK. Could it be related?

    Strange ignition issue!!

Went for a drive yesterday and all fine. Parked up all day today. Tonight the alarm was going off. The ignition lights were all on! (No Pikeys). Put the key in and started her up but couldn't turn her off. Stalled it to stop it and then had to disconnect battery! Presumably a dodgy ignition...

    Rear roof bar??

Have 110 pick up. Not sure what it is called but want a bar that goes immediately behind the roof, at the front of the tub, that I could lean ladder or gate on. Not a complete roll bar affair. Is something available and what would it be called?

    injector pump rebuild ...

If the leak off pumps are loose at the injectors, which they often can be, then overnight (or on a hill!) the fuel will drain back through the system. So check them there, copper washers as well

    Floor panels

What should be holing down the (removable) floor panels under passenger and driver feet? Someone has used some great big self tapping bolt things on mine. Should it be screws and spire nuts? Also is it possible to get some sort of sealing tape, sticky one side, foam/rubber other to help seal this?
