    Finally got another Land Rover!

Today removed pretty much all I need to in order to weld it up. It is not as bad as I expected under the carpet. This is yukky mold on the carpet: Driver's seat removed: Some one has been at it already: Bits of my Landy are doing a wee: I have no idea what this is supposed to be...

    Finally got another Land Rover!

Yesterday there was still much rain: I did de-rusting of the roof bars but I did not take any pictures. Today there was no rain and a sun in the sky so I uncovered the beast and took the other door off and found more rust: I will weld it all up and do the box section sill...

    Finally got another Land Rover!

I have also been considering colour choices. I know I painted the door black but that doesn't really mean anything: it needed paint and I had some black, it can easily be changed. This is along the lines of what I am thinking: To be honest, it will probably end up being the gloss black...

    Finally got another Land Rover!

Yeah, see if I'm going to build a complete up and over arrangement that will be robust enough it would basically be a shed and I am going to build one very soon anyway so I don't see the point. I have some timber I can use to make a work area and I will just have to go with that.

    Finally got another Land Rover!

That's basically what I had in mind, I have a load of 1 1/4" tube. It gets very windy but also gusty, which is what rips the tarp to bits. I could make a more solid structure but I'm going to build a shed very soon anyway, but I need the Landy to haul materials!

    Finally got another Land Rover!

Aye so with the realisation that at this rate it will be winter before I know it, I thought I'd get my finger out and get the Discovery on the road. Some time ago the driver's door mostly fell off so I took it right off and welded it up and painted it: That was a few weeks ago, the other day...

Wait, what? I thought we was betting that there'd be a hole the size of Greece's deficit in that panel before the welding was done?

Your Discovery 1 300 TDi is looking fantastic, I really like your choice of modifications! In fact a lot of what you are doing is what I am planning with mine, so don't accuse me of copying! Actually you can, I don't care, I'm still doing it how I want it!! When you getting out to play now...
