has mine got a MAF? and is it the little round thing thats sticks in a hole on the side of the air intake? seems to be really oily? and dosn't stay put always fallin out? :D

i said has it been timed correctly and he said if it wasn't then it wouldn't run at all! it's never clattered on start up so i would say something isn't timed correctly.
ok so i've just picked up the old range rover 2.5dt 1997 from the garage after the pump resealed. felt sluggist but thought it was parked up for 10 days so need the cobwebs blown out!, then i parked it up for the day and came back at 5 to go home. little bit of a hill so gave it a little welly...

Break down is £200 for refurb, now i'm thinking it is the seals changing as it has gone in coz it's leaking diesel. but they said that they could not recalibarate it due to the condition of the pump.

:eek: my rangey has been in the garage old part taken off sent to exeter to bosch pump recon place and back to be fitted total bill £390 i would question how many hour they are taking to put on the pump. my guy said no more than 4 hours to remove and put back on.

just had my injector pump recon for £200 by a bosch agent. although they have said that it will fix the leak it can't be calibarated due to wear on the pump....does that sound right wammer :p
it's being reconed by a diesel specialist in exeter that deal with bosch pumps. so i'm hoping they know what they are doing:confused: just don't see why they can't calibarate it if the seals and everthing have been changed

i have a 2.5dt 1997 auto 158'000 now on the clock and i still consider him to be the most reliable car i have had he's been with me for 6years now and still can't bring myself to sell him on incase i get some heap of ****. (better the devil you know) i tow a wessex horse...

so you're saying that the key fob is not unlocking the doors remotely??? and if you changed the lock on the drivers side who did it and was it done properly? surely you would have a different key fob now, and why you can't unlock and start the car??
