I've got a 97 p38 Range Rover 2.5 bmw engine DT cloth interior been parked up for a while. I need it gone, what's the best thing to do mot it and sell it or just sell for breaking?? What money do you think I could get for it?

mine was a vicous fan same things happened. get it check before i did and now have 4 crack in head!!!!!!!!!:doh:

oddly not until the vicous fan starting playing up and it over heated.

my dear range rover 2.5dt has been sat up on the small holding for a bit and a lovely chap offered to take a look at the head gasket for me. i agreed but when he removed the head there were 4 cracks one each on the outlets... so that meant i must have been loosing compression on 4 cylinders so...

i'd be more concerned about driving home with no fan belt to drive the fan or water pump:eek: 2-3mm?? really?? thats like [ ]... the fan belts are groved and will handle that very slight mis alignment i'm sure. :D put another fan belt on it they do wear

oh yes.... he's been with me for 6+ years. just had a recent overheating problem,thought to now be the viscous fan. and it cooked getting to do the horses,someone has told me that they would do the head gasket for £200 plus parts,but i have a van and a navara so he's getting on a bit so want to...

ok, so i'm waitin for the nissan navara to arrive and the injector pump has got so bad now that it is taking forever to start and dies a death when you are waiting to pull out from juctions etc. and i feel that i need to get it sorted as cheaply as possible before i sell it. so does anyone know...

don't i'll get all emotional again....the range rover is going, the injection pump has had it and i can't through more money at it without becoming single;) the big black Navara is on it's way:D but i'll pop back and say hi every now and again, are you allowed back if you have a navara??:confused:
