Exterior ambient temp sensor on a disco two, specifically the one that feeds the info to the display of the ambient temperature when you press the ext button on the dash AC controls. Where is it? Because it's either moved against something warm or is faulty as I am pretty sure over the course...

    TD5 fuel starving!!

Because my phone hates me, it would be indicative of the position of the leak only up to the level of fuel in the tank. It's difficult to explain but fluid will find it's level so if you have a tank full of fuel the fuel level will only drain back in the lines until it reaches the same level...

    TD5 fuel starving!!

Is there an air leak? If the fuel system is allowed to drain back into the tank because of the air leak it becomes hard to start as it has to repressurise, which might account for the insane pump sound, and also the cutting out if the fuel isn't present. I would check for any loose clips or...

Egr blank fitted.. ages to warm up..

by it's very nature it will, because immediately the engine is turned on and on low load the exhaust gases are applying heat directly to the coolant flowing around the block. i have a stack digital temp gauge and it takes on average an extra 5 minutes to reach running temp, in most...

Egr blank fitted.. ages to warm up..

The cooler still is in place, and it has been blanked valve side (this was easier anyway) This is the heater unit from most of the hdis, it is simply a little body that sits along side the engine and has no valves or additional pumps, water passes over the tips of four glow plugs (very...

Egr blank fitted.. ages to warm up..

This was an obvious side effect of the egr blank, as mine was fitted with a cooler (15p), the engine now takes longer to warm up. Now this begs the question about a coolant in line heater, dunno what they would be officially called by my Peugeot (2.0hdi) hasa non cooled egr, and a small block...
