    Freelander 1 Replacing window regulator

Panic over. Found it. I didn't have the mechanism down far enough to see fully.

    Freelander 1 Replacing window regulator

I am in the process of replacing my passenger side rear door window regulator. I have just partially fitted the new regulator and need to insert and tighten the bolt at the to where the glass sits. I cannot see much, is there a hole through the glass for the bolt to go through? I can't see one...

    Freelander 1 TD4 auto 2003, 18MPG

I seem to get between 480 and 550 miles per full tank depending on how I drive. My FL seems to go much faster on the way home from work. :D I wouldn't say I have a delicate foot on the pedal. :D I have a synergy set on the middle setting.

    Battery tray bracket

That wouldn't work for me. I had to use a junior hacksaw and cut the nut off. I then fitted a new bolt and nut to make sure the battery was secure.

    Window regulator

Is it a simple job to attach a motor to a regulator?

    Window regulator

I have not taken the door card off yet as the window failed in the closed position, so there was no rush to fix it. I can heae the motor when I press the switch.

    Window regulator

Excuse me hijacking this thread. I had a regulator for my passenger side rear window arrive today. I thought it was going to be the complete package, ie: including a motor but it seems I din't read the description properly. :( No motor is included. Is it easy to fit the motor from my broken...

    Freelander 1 Track rod ends

The current ones have been on there during the 6 years I have had the car. No idea how old they are.

    Freelander 1 Track rod ends

I need to replace my track rod ends on my TD4 2006, but not until this awful hot weather ends. What are the best makes to get? I don't want to put something on which won't last too long.

    Phoebes fixed !

How could that pass an MOT?

    Freelander 1 Battery clamp loose

Just picked up the FL from the garage and they said they do sometimes apply grease to brake pipes when having an MOT. So it probably was them as I always use them of my MOT.

    Freelander 1 Battery clamp loose

Would the garage do that without my consent and whilst an MOT is taking place?

    Freelander 1 Battery clamp loose

MOT passed with two advisories. 1: offside rear brake pipe corroded and covered in grease. 2: One of the front track rod ends a little worn. I will do the track rod end myself but let the garage do the brake pipe. Not sure where the grease has come from as I didn't apply any to the brake pipe...

Freelander 1 Would an 04 Freelander 1 td4 have EGR cooler

I just refitted my EGR as my MOT is this coming week. I don't know if I am imagining it but the engine seems quieter than when it had the bypass on. Am I imagining it?

    Freelander 1 Battery clamp loose

Battery clamp all sorted now. New bolt which I made secure by using a flattish nut inside the battery compartment. Battery is now held solid again.

    Freelander 1 Battery clamp loose

Next year I will start pre MOT work much earlier. Left it late and am running out of time. Bloody work gets in the way too much. Roll on retirement. :D

    Freelander 1 Battery clamp loose

I have my MOT soon on my 06 TD4. Whilst I was servicing it today, I have noticed that the battery clamp is loose. Despite much swearing and threats to kick the car I cannot tighten, loosen or remove the bolt. I can just about get my fingers to underneath the battery tray and it feels like it is...
