Hi All, Quick question.... I have a strange noise, almost key jangling sort of noise/rattling metal but cant find anything loose, from my front drivers side wheel. the brakes have tread left on them and arnt loose. Has anyone got any ideas as to what this noise could be? Kyle.

Right update, I had the belt of today and can say that there is a fair bit of play in the tensioner pulley bearing. Also there is minimal play in the water pump bearing,but none in the alternator, is there any other way to check the water pump itself? kyle UPDATE. Have tried the baby...

LoL i know as i was spraying it on i was thinking "hang on this is solvent based isnt it.....D'oh" Yeah think thats the next thing to try. I'm not being stupid by thinking that it cant be anything else can it when i spray the wd40 on the belt... Kyle

Right Update..... Had a hell of a time trying the penny trick as someone had managed to cross thread the threads on the tensioner pulley, but anyway. tried the penny and it makes no diffrence. I See that "thebiglad" quoted the alternator pulley bushes etc but surely if it was this then why...

Well Im guessing thats its the serpentine belt because as i apply wd40 to the belt the noise stops..... I had a new belt put on about 10,000miles ago. I forgot to mention that the noise started arfter coming done a muddy/very wet farm track the other day. Kyle

Gaz, Is it wrong that the engine heated up abit quicker than normal now that i have replaced the old leaky matrix. kyle

Right i have replaced the old matrix for a new one, and the landy is now up to temp, which it got to fairly quickly....!! But i have had the blowers on for about 20mins and im not getting hot air so figureing that i have a air lock in the heater matrix system somewhere. has any one got any ideas...

Im Guessing my problem is a pin hole with the heater matrix itself, as the hoses were all dry but the bottom of the matrix itself was wet. Kyle
