Well I tried this, but to be honest whilst the dog seemed happy enough, facing forward and tail high and wagging the view for me wasn't the best....... Thanks for all the input. I think I'll keep the cage in the back but put a 3rd seat in the front for the odd occasion.

Has anyone used one of the front middle seats for a dog? My springer currently travels in the back of my 90 in a cage but looking at the possibility of putting in a 3rd seat and having him on there (suitably restrained of course). Anyone done or doing this?

Dog cage on a platform with space either side for bags. A case fits underneath the dog cage with other bits and pieces and hold all type bags loaded into the back after the dog is loaded. It's tight but do-able. Shame as I spent out on a roofrack the week before the holiday thinking I'd need it! lol

I'd ideally have gone for the 110, but with me, the Mrs and a Springer I couldn't really justify it. We managed a drive from Portsmouth to North Wales with the 3 of us and no roof rack needed (a weeks holiday in a cottage so luggage a was needed!) If money no object I'd have both like a shot!

Same as mine on a ninety (1989). MOT failed on a windscreen chip - ain't too unhappy with that! :)

Not a fan I'm afraid. The bracket from the bumper to the grill sits right alongside a hole in the grill on the left hand as you look at it, but there is a good gap on the right hand side. That kind of thing fidgets me and would get on my tits every time I saw it.

Spent too many hours on the end of one of these on a boat I used to have. Great tool to use though. Hand throb goes away and the finish will be worth it in the end....

I'm pretty sure mine does this as well. Can you get silicone replacements for this (200TDI)? Apologies - mine is the braided hose from the cyclone breather.

You can just see the black reinforcement bar that replaces the bulkhead behind the cubby box.
