well aware but i live in australia so i dont live in in cold climates also my engine has over 300000 on the clock glow plugs is least of my issues also some newer larger diesel engines that i mainly work on they dont have glow plugs or any heating element placed in the air intake these engines...

correct some advanced turbo timers can also self adjust .depending how deep you want to go..... but a basic turbo timer can be set from 1 to 5 minutes depending on type of system many people will argue the fact that the stock td5 does not need a timer but they forget the the nature of a turbo...

not to sure if the engine is already up to operation temp in your vid so i cant comment cold engine i normally tend to watch my boost gauge and stay in low boost for a few minutes or as long as i can untill the engine is up to operating temps idle shut down is also very important for the turbo...
