I had similar problem on my old 200 disco,Turned out to be the stalk. Changed it for another.

Some Landy owners have taken them out & removed the saggy material.Scraped all the old glue off and just painted it. Looks fine to me. Google it .

is the front passenger side indicator earth in the passenger footwell.? Disco 300 95 I've had a bit of trouble in the past where the passenger side would flash very faintly. It sort of cured itself last year o_O It was doing this yesterday but the drivers side was normal. No indicators now...

I'd try bleeding it first ,Then as above a new rad.

Not sure if it's the same as a Disco 1,On the back of the alternator there are a couple of thin wires .Mine snapped a while back and the battery light stayed on ,Simple case of stripping the wire back and fitting a new spade connector to it.
