Right I have been struggling with today. Two attempts later I had a suitable locking device made but for the life of me I could not measure the torque setting on the nut, I even tried two torque wrenches but no avail. Eventually the nut came loose without getting a figure so now its in bits...

You could get a length of sturdy wood and put it on a trolley jack from underneath to give it a bit of extra persuasion.

Some time ago I bought a roof spoiler off ebay so today I gave it a rub down in readiness for fresh paint tomorrow.

That's definitely a bargain, my lumpiness went when I stopped using supermarket fuel.

Check the small white plug has not come loose, it may be hanging down underneath the seat or it may still be poked through the hole in the seat sub frame but not connected. To reconnect it take the large plastic cover off the side of the sub frame.

Do you have the e bay link. id like to remove know how to remove the shift knob as mine is a little loose.

I think they would look better if the c pillar didn't exsist and it was straight down from the roof line. That said though as it stands if the rear bed was longer it would be a good looking pick up.

What's the match like at the moment ? put to much lacquer on and it will look grey.

That's the one, I found all three fuses to be loose and the rubber seal on the bottom has perished and come away, I need to find some way of sealing it up.

If you take it off any chance you could do me a paper template of the plastic part so I can make one for mine.

Quick question to the guru's amongst you. There's a little black box on the side of the fuse box with three 30 amps fuses in it, what are they for ?

I have some old rear seats that came out of a 3 door you are more than welcome to have foc but I'm miles from you.

Refitted the painted scuttle, it made the wipers look drab so they had a quick re paint too

Is there a definitive guide to A. checking you have the correct loom for c.c. and B. the parts required to do so ?

Did you replace it with a poly bush? I tried one and it was too stiff and caused vibration, I had to revert to a standard type in the end. I also struggled removing the bolt, when I refitted it I ground the flanges of the nut head of the bolt and used a washer instead.

Removed the windscreen scuttle panel for cleaning prior to painting.
