I had this problem, after changing the knackered front diff mount I found the vcu bearings were sagging in their bushes.

Why do you want to continue to use the in built amp? I can't see why you can't use a head unit with a steering wheel adaptor as long as you find one that has the adaptor and ditch the amp.

Its not my heated seat wires as that's plugged in ;)

Its an automatic and its clipped to the bottom of the seat, I didn't look to see if there is anything tucked up under the carpet.

I've spent this weekend continuing to look at the possibility of swapping the seats for height adjustable ones. I found to start with I was overthinking it, I worked out how the sub frame is going to work but with the pair or seats I plan to use there are issues with the seat occupying more...

Yeah for some reason it doesn't. I spoke to the people who now do the synergy and they are going to see if they can supply me with another plug.

Well the plan tonight was to put the original bosch one back in however whilst taking it apart it became apparent what the fault was. The maf plug from the synergy 2a is an audi part that originally was design for 5 wires whereas the freelander only uses 4 so there's a hole left for the moisture...

When it comes to black badging there's not a huge amount of choice when it comes to the C pillar badges, three perhaps. There are some expensive ones advertised for the FL2 on ebay that will fit along with some cheap stickers and a google search also bring up some gel overlays.

To be safe i've bought a new crush spacer and bearing.
