    Fan switch location...

Everything on this car is held together with cable ties

    Fan switch location...

ok great - I don't have ac :| and the lower switch (which has 3 connections on it) had 2 wires on it - the upper one appears unconnected.... maybe I'll run the wires to the upper switch instead.

    Fan switch location...

My rad fan doesn't work... I was told by the seller that the switch was on the bottom rad pipe, and that this had 'probably' gone. Sure enough, there is a switch and 2 wires in it (though it's damned tight and I can't undo it due to the flex in the pipes :( But whilst also trying to change the...

    v8 rad identification

Thanks guys, I'll check the fan direction - I did however encounter another issue whilst poking and prodding the pipes... the top pipe (pump to rad), has a bloody pin hole in it... so it was venting bubbles out. So have ordered a new one of those. - I wonder if it was enough to leak air into the...

    Removing lift kit...

Thanks guys :) @The Mad Hat Man I have no idea... but if anyone else does?!! Otherwise, new springs & turrets only seem to come in at about £100. :)

    Removing lift kit...

ok, so just springs & turrets required - that helps ease the runaway spending :)

    Removing lift kit...

I'm not sure I actually understand this. Why would standards be about 10" and my "lifted" kit be 6". Does this suggest I've got standard shocks on it? since they've effectively lowered the mounting point? - and therefore only the springs and turrets have been changed?

    Removing lift kit...

Thanks, will check that out too. This car is odd, somethings have been done really well, others have been bodged up... so we'll see about the brake hoses!

    Removing lift kit...

Hi, I'm going to remove the lift kit from our 90. Do I need to just change the springs & shocks? Anything else I need to be aware of? (I think it has dislocation ones on the rears, can they stay? Do I need to swap the turret below to something else? Thanks again!!

    v8 rad identification

I don't believe so - think they just did the pump :| I am assuming this is working ok though as when the fans are switched on, it does cool it all down (apparently).

    Compression on 3.9v8

Doh! tbh though, they're a LR specialist so I think they'd have done it correctly (whichever way that should be)

    v8 rad identification

here we go: on the right (drivers side): on the left (passenger): Description does seem to match mine, and it does actually seem in really good condition. Temp gauge doesn't work (was told this as I turned up to pay for it, but was also told "don't worry, it doesn't run hot though...

    90 side sills...

thats probably what it is. It's not my taste, so I'll be cutting it back and painting it over.

    v8 rad identification

Hi guys, My car is 3.9v8 conversion from a 2.5TD. Is there any way that I can check if the rad has been changed? any features the V8 rad should have? The garage I took it to for the water pump said that it was running hot and boiled over on idle - it was fine with the fans running (though the...

    90 side sills...

Yeah that was my thought I'm going to stick with this car, but it is starting to grate on me that I may have been sold something more 'cobbled' together than I'd have liked!! Ok, so back to stage 1 - I'll pick up those sill supports in my first post (the seller is literally about 5 minutes from...
