The fact that it’s a company that’s willing to put there name to a product is a good thing but I’m still vary wary, maybe I’ll put a new post up to see if anyone else has used them.

So I’ve been searching to get the oil at the best price as I want to but around 20litres ideally. I found this by smith and Allan Is this the same stuff as the lifeguard 6 that it specifies to use? Comes in a dark blue container. It says its for the zf 6hp26 gearbox but would rather not gamble...

Should’ve done it for the right money, it’s funny because on paper the facelift doesn’t look much different but it’s just a nicer place to be, does t feel quite so dated.

Well I do like the td6 but the SC is a different league, a lot of that is to do with it being a facelift car though, I think the tdv8 must be a good compromise,

Yeah I love everything about it except the thirst lol , but considering I don’t use a tank a month in the td6 I figure to keep the SC will only cost me an extra £60-£80 a month in fuel, the noise makes up for that alone, but obviously the mileage has to be a consideration as well

Yeah I’m still amazed myself, I’ve actually been looking at what year/mileage SC I’d get if I sold both, I’d only be looking at a same year car with half the mileage, doesn’t seem worth selling it considering the SC drives better than my td6 with a little over half the miles,

I’ve found a 20 litre drum for £140 so that looks like the way to go, Although if the first sump dump doesn’t help then I might keep the diesel and sell the supercharged lol

Ok that’s useful to know, I’ll look at the costs and see how it adds up, I reckon 3 sump dumps is the way to go but not sure. I’ll give it some thought

I’m just looking at the oil, how much do you think you use per sump dump? I’m contemplating buying a 20 litre drum but I did that with the td6 and 12 litres still in the shed lol

Yes I remember pumping the oil was fun, I bought a garden sprayer and adapted it to use on the td6, I’m sure that’s still kicking around somewhere in the garage , I’m tempted by doing the same, a couple of oil changes then a new filter, although it would be nice to see if the magnets have got...
