I had the same issue as you - the seller swore blind the barrels were to fit all models even though I pointed out what version door I had. Anyway, likewise the ball bearing fell out when I pulled out the inner, but having managed to wangle it back in (just tipping it back in at the right angle...

1986 Ninety. Just redid all the lights as they were a mess. Indicators working fine, but all of a sudden the dash turn light has stopped working when turning right - the indicators themselves work fine, and everything works as it should when turning left. So can't quite figure out what it should...

Hang in there mate, you've done such an amazing job so far, it's been a real pleasure to read! Always read about low points but you'll sort it for sure. Is there something nice on it you can mess about with for a while, get your mojo back? (I find painting quite therapeutic for example.)
