Anyone tried off roading blindfolded? We set up a course with concrete blocks, tyres, railway sleepers and a few traffic cones. There were a few trees and a tight gateway to navigate too. Driver wore a welding mask with gaffa tape on the glass for no cheating;) and passenger guided drivers round...

I "mostly" removed mine on a tree.:D I took it off to try to straighten it out and it was factory spot welded to the side panel and bolted inside the boot opening.

I bought the missus a 1998 2.0l diesel freelander because I wanted us to be a Landrover family. She didn't like my Disco :(. We kept the Freelander for almost 3 years and never had any problems, apart from when a dick head valeter karchered the engine, and it was driven daily plus quite a few...

Okay then. Assuming you want to just get to the Pyrenees and not sight see on the way this is the route ive always taken and consider the best (imho) Crossing from Portsmouth or Dover. On the Froggy side I head for Rouen, then to Evreux.......then...

Went on a weekend off roading in Availles, France and slept in the disco. Minus 11 that night. Me fookin eyes froze shut :) Okay, I exaggerate, they didn't really but it were bleddy cold.

After I cut my arches I thought about gluing some sort of rubber U bead around the cut. Something like the seals you get around car door openings. Would tidy it up and scrap yard is full of this stuff. Never got around to doing it but wen i start chopping my new discos arches ill give it a go.:)...
