I owned mine for a couple of years with no issues until one day it started chuffing out white smoke on start up and felt like it was running on 3 cylinders until it warmed up. After a lot of messing around with injectors, filters, fuel sender and fuel line turns out it was the fuel pump timing...

Mines a 3 door too. Ive just stripped out all the carpets to paint the floor and found rust holes behind the plastic covers that hide the electrics in each footwell. You can get at these areas by taking the wings off too. Could be urs is leaking here too?
