Hello Batty, nice to see you aint dead buddy:D Do miss them days too. And the on the way to work "wonder where that track goes" days.

As you know the disco has a step in the roof. Used to do a particularly rough off road place in France and there was a little section we named Dans crack :D It was a V shaped gulley with a massive overhanging tree on the left. Get it wrong, and we all did, and the "step" in the roof would end up...

No mate, its made of 80mm aluminium pipe. Although u are right about the top being a cut down plastic 45 degree plumbing bend :D

Mines home made and ive had the top facing backwards since i made it. I did face it forwards once thinking perhaps i might get better performance......it made no difference that i could notice. It now faces backwards so rain dont **** down it.

Well, just in from farting around with the freelander again. No luck :( I got the hair dryer and kitchen towel in there and dried plugs, wires, sensors etc....still the same. Time for food and cider methinks :) On the bright side i have insured my old disco 200tdi so we are back on the road.:)...
