I done this conversion in 2012... Your issue will be overcoming the bmw electrical side. Emobiliser, abs sensors, limp mode etc. Good luck mate.

Post 05 have rounded tops which denote that they are all steel. Pre 05 are the original land rover design aluminium and steel. Post 05 are far far superior and will last far longer. Fitted to defenders from 2005 on a 55 plate here in England. Glenn
