Depends on the current draw for the amp for you little sub. I would still try take it from the battery terminals with correct fuse rating, just use an eye loop the size of the lug bolt.

Dont know about the UK but in the US and Canada, its a must even when HAMS post for sale ads online they specify that proof if HAM qualifications needed before any transactions. Happy to see a number of HAMs here.

What type of lights? LEDs, or not? Tap off the ignition with separate a relay and independent fuse, if they are LEDs you might get by without a relay.
