I was under the impression military didn't use 200tdi as can't change out a piston in situ due to ladder frame. Needs engine out.

Nor did I but he says it says 300tdi on log book. Anyway, again mot history suggests mileage right for truck but engine would be unknown. I know this is not vital but good be a 250k engine. Also if he is unsure about stuff regarding the car then he may not be sure about things like chassis...

He says it says 300 on v5 and he just sent engine photo and it defo 300 as single aux belt and yellow 't' dipstick to front.

Because the mileage will not be accurate and the chassis will have needed to be adapted for the 300.

Don't know if that link will work. No photos of engine but I'm ok at identifying engines just don't want a 5 hour round trip to not add up. Asked the guy and he is adamant it's a 300. It was released from raf in 2012 with 21000kms and he owned it from Feb 17. Now has 66000kms. It looks very tidy...

Paydg I have replied. It's a disco engine so don't have defender case I'm afraid As for power steering pump I don't think I have one as power steering was mounted to chassis on my defender. I'll check my bracket box though

Apparently it's because the value of the disco is so low. Insurance prefer a £5k car as more likely to repair than a £800 car which will most likely be written off. So don't undervalue you're vehicles guys

Hey guys, Any recommendations for a 1995 disco. My 1989 110 is with Adrian flux. Insured for £5000 at £14 a month for 3000 miles. To exchange to disco with a value of £800 they want £32 a month? Makes no sense. Footman won't insure as classic on disco? Normal insurers are stupid prices. Any others
