The weird thing is that an original D1 with sonar blue interior etc only go for around £700 at auction (not the excessive buy-it-now prices). Even an ultra rare MPI went for only £850 a few weeks ago, and that had the same mileage.
Still trying to work out why this 'rare 3 door tdi' is getting so many bids when the only original part of it seems to be the engine. Am I missing something?

Hallams in Hayfield are good and friendly, although they might be a bit far for you. They did a good job replacing ACE with coils on my D2 a while back.
