    D2 Mystery Plugs Near Ignition

I removed the covers surrounding the ignition barrel on my D2 TD5 and found two plugs dangling in the wind. Does anyone know what they are and if they should be connected somewhere?

    Anti Roll Bar disconnect

KDSS in off road mode is more or less a disconnected ARB. But in contrast ACE is an actuated (with hydraulic pump) hydraulic cylinder acting in series to the ARB. As you say I need to understand the limitations of the ACE better. My observations are based on ACE vehicles I have seen off road...

    Anti Roll Bar disconnect

With anti roll bars the more travel suspension you have the more ARBs become a limiting factor as you are attempting to flex the axles further in respect to the chassis (precisely what ARBs attempt to counter). I plan to add 125mm additional travel dampers along with dislocation cones. Without...

    Anti Roll Bar disconnect

IN my experience the D2 with ACE is not nearly as compliant as a Defender without ARBs. I also plan to increase the amount of droop over what I have and can see the ACE ARBs becoming even more of a hinderance.

    Anti Roll Bar disconnect

I have ACE on my disco but would like to run with a completely disconnected anti roll bar off road. However, when I am on-road I would like to have the ACE. I plan to have a mechanical disconnect but I feel it would be less than ideal having the ACE system still running and actuating without...

    Toyo Open Country AT3?

Where did the 255/70 tyres rub? I'm guessing on the front part of the front wheel well? Perhaps a wider offset can help this?

    Toyo Open Country AT3?

I have a D2 and am planning on changing my grabber 255/55 R16 for the Toyo Open country AT3 245/70 R16 or possibly the 255/70 R16. I have 8J wheels with small 20mm outward offset currently. I like the toyos as they are a 2ply sidewall as opposed to a stiffer 3ply BFG K03 tyre. The terrain here...

    TD5 Noisy fuel pump

My fuel pump seems noisy It makes a whiney, high pitch humming sound. The vehicle is new to me so I do not have reference. Is it a sign that the pump is on its way out? Also, I am planning to do some repairs to the rear chassis that requires the fuel tank to be removed. Is it worth just...

Yep. My guess is you're right.

    Drivers seat belt Discovery 2

They do have different part numbers but looking at pictures and at the belts (without taking them out) they look the same left to right.

    Drivers seat belt Discovery 2

The drivers seatbelt on my disco 2 is a bit tatty. I thought I could source a passenger side unit that's likely to be less used, and fit it to the drivers side. Are they the same and is this sensible??

Water dripping out of tailgate - Is this normal?

Its a 2003 and the glass rubber looks mint. I also just replaced the rubber gasket around the door release molding. Could it be the spare tyre bracket bolt holes? It does look a bit crusty there.

Water dripping out of tailgate - Is this normal?

Well, I know it doesn't look like much in the photo, but there's definitely water accumulating inside the door. Does it get in around the glass?

Water dripping out of tailgate - Is this normal?

Every time I open the tailgate I get a small dribble out of the bottom edge of the door near the hinge. It seems to be coming from a drain hole between the inner and outer door skins. Presumably this should not be happening? Where does the water enter into the door?
