I'm not saying I'm an expert in engine re builds by far, dad's a lot more knowledgeable than me... But to clarify the head is not on ;) Going to redouble check the caps when I'm in there tonight but I'm pretty confident they are correct cause they are stamped with numbers :p

We looked at the shells, thought they'd only need replacing if there's wear to them I.e. Copper colouring. The shells literally looked perfect. Kept them together however would it make the difference if the cap shell was in the piston side and vice versa?

Thanks for all the replies. yes, when all 4 pistons are in loose they all turn over super smooth without any effort at all. Yeah the crank is perfect prior to the big end cap being tightened. all shells from what I can see are okay, they have a little nib sticking out so it's only possible...

Nope completely safe, the back of the base tucks under the back of the seat, and the two front bolts fingertight give the base of the seat the solid feel, there's no rocking or anything. If anything it replicates a safer defender seat base anyway, those things don't even have any bolts in 'em!

True, however When I fitted them to mine, there are 4 goldy looks bolts that hold the seat base down. If you completely remove the back 2, leaving the front 2 fingertight, it doesn't affect the passenger sitting on the seat in the slightest and allows you to put your hand underneath the seat...

Update to the current situation Bri- Checked the wiring and it all seems good, all the bungs and cable holders are clipped and they don't seem to be moving anytime soon, couldn't spot any signs of the wire being damaged or crushed etc. Only code that comes up now is " 4084 - Sensor Right Hand...
