Evening all, I bought a Webasto timer to control the FBH on wifeys Freelander. Actually bought 2, as I was going to solder on a remote GSM switch, so it can be switched on and off by a fob, and wanted a spare incase I buggered one up Not my picture, but the timer is identical to this...

Where did you get a new one? They are on back order from Denso/LR until early March. And spurious aftermarket ones have been known to cause similar issues

Morning all. Have found someone selling Webasto 1533 oval timers for £55 each. What is actually needed to control the FBH system? Just the timer, and wire it in to the control wire on the FBH? The FBH does run fine when it is cold enough, but I would quite like the engine to be nice and warm...

Are we talking about a K-Series, or a F/L 2? Listed under F/L 2, but everyone has jumped to the conclusion that it is a 1.8 :?

Cordless impact gun makes all the difference here. Bit expensive if you don't already own one though

As above, all steel wheels are the same, and will fit all models Difference comes between early/late alloy wheels

The switch is twisted into place in the bracket :)
