Had a great day out with the boys from Bristol 4x4 Club on Sunday, did a nice bit of green laning from Frome to Salisbury Plain... Being mostly Land Rovers... TD5 Disco 2 blew a rear diff, V8 Disco 1 overheated, 200tdi Disco 1 blew a CV, 300tdi Disco 1 put a hole in the rad overheated and...

:rolleyes: I noticed the temperature gauge rose a little the other day, I boshed the heaters on full which helped... I decided to pull over and check out the state of the rad.... :eek: A quick jet wash later and all was well again! Well I say quick.. took a good 10 mins to clear...

Hi all!! Had a AWESOME day at Dundry pay and play site on Sunday.. the ruts were fully dried out and it was stupidly bumpy in places, it gave the shocks a good workout! I still managed to find some nice challenging bits tho, the bobtail made mince meat of sections that the big old disco would...

Cheers Noisy! :) I'm pleased with how its turned out, got a few more things to do but its getting there! I helped my bro-in-law move house this evening... who said you loose space with a bobtail!! :bounce: haha.... :)

Thanks mate, I dunno might give them a coat of paint to match the outside. Once the permanent tank is built I'm going to mount the original filler cap/flap in the old window hole but we'll see :)

My winch is mounted to the top of my steering guard, the guard uses 3 fixing points on each side instead of the 2 that the bumper uses, I just welded a flat plate to the top of the guard and the winch is sat as far back as possible. This meant I could fit a non-winch bumper which is a lot closer...

As above... wondered if anyone is going? I'll be testing out the new bob... :cool:

Hi again folks! Been busy again today... out with the old tank and in with the... um... temporary one! lol Anyways... the interior is all back in now, had to seriously cut most of it down but its all good :) Not sure on the legalities of this 'tank' but it works so meh...

If im out on a long camping weekend its usually just laning.... However I would re-inforce the thing or something... I dunno just a thought :) I do like the idea though

Anyone ever used one of these trailer tents/folding campers? 1997 Pennine Aztec Folding Camper/Trailer Tent | eBay Do people think it could be modified to take bigger wheels/tyres? Obviously the supports will need lengthening and a longer jockey wheel... but it could make a nice...
