Thanks for the idea, maybe I will try it. But before I will double check if my turbo is in good shape (do not know yet how, maybe I will take it to a specialist again for checking) otherwise the remap will be useless (or at least not as sufficient as it should).

regarding on remap. I was also thinking about it in the past (as I do not know what kind of map I have) but it is not so easy from hungary. Even I have Nanocom, I do not want to risk having a bad (interrupted) software upload and having a dead ECU. My nanocom is not so "stable" many times frozen...

I forgot to mention that the car has remapped by the previous owner (i have no details about it) and the MAF is less than a year old and genuine.

Today I have run a diagnostic using my nanocom just to see if all parameters are correct. I have found AAP around 96 under heavy load (96.3 at 604 MAF, 3500rpm, turbo 215Kpa). Does it mean something is wrong, or it is still within limit?

have you checked under the expansion tank as well? last year I had the same amount of water loss and in my case it was the cap (changed it to a genuine one, no water loss since).

I do not understand why people wants such overcomplicated cars, nice but such sensitive electronic stuff surely will not last for several years if the car is used as it should. This car is for people having lots of money, other cars and living close to the a LR service.

I did, (without disconnecting the fuel lines) to get better access for inlet manifold removal. it is not difficult to remove the nuts but was f..in difficult to put back the bottom ones :-) (note. my car is LHD so might be different)

Actually it was more like leak and not mist and probably came from the area where it connects to the steel pipe or turbo. And could be found on the bottom of the hoses. In case of the silicons it is different.

I have the oil mist only on the hoses and no other places (even the steel pipe which connects to the silicon hose is bone dry)

Mine has exactly the same symptoms (some oil in hoses, slight play of turbo only sideways). My turbo was checked by specialist and said it is normal and is in good condition.

my silicone hoses are new, used only for a few months. Probably as it is a cheap one, not so good quality, right? Do you think it worth changing them to a better quality like Samco?

In that case maybe the original used black hoses are even better (I could not see them delaminated but found oil on them as well)

Hi All Yesterday I found slight oil mist on the surface of silicone hoses just after turbo and before intake manifold (before the intercooler was dry). Has any experienced the same? Is it due to the quality of hoses (porous)?

Job done. Lock nut was machined to about 2mm thinner. Now it is adjustable and reaches diff lock mechanism and gives signal. In the meanwhile I have found this on the web, seems that someone sets it by using washers...(or it is a shorter switch?)
