I found by the time the steering column is in you lose any movement in the bulkhead, I guess that's why you should get your body alignment sorted before getting that far. I think I was quite lucky with mine as I didn't go in the correct order at all.

In the OP, or rather his mates defence, you can put one shot grease in swivels so its not a massive leap of the imagination. I'd probably hit you with wrench if I found you trying to put grease in my gearbox, however....

Took mine for a test run round a field and got plenty of fresh cow patina in the tyre treads. I also trod in some of it so there's some patina in the drivers footwell too.
