Brilliant, thanks Steve. My plan to remove the roof &sides, drill out all the rivets and dismantle the roof panel, rebuild the roof using new button head cap screws and sealant before resealing the gutter channels is a bit overboard then? :oops:

I replaced this bearing, the new one had as much slop as the old one.

That's a good plan. How do you tighten pop rivets, other than replacing them? Wish I had a proper rivet gun.

Very odd. I'd have gone with a new alternator sorting it. If you can read 13.7v then perhaps the alt isn't putting out sufficient current? I think that needs to be read in series rather than across the alternator. As someone said above, make sure the charge light comes on with ignition, but...

Cant disagree with any of that. FYI, jumped in mine to head off to work this morning and the inside front lip of the roof above the windscreen was FULL of water (I park on a slope) which the sloshed all down the inside of the windscreen and behind the dash :( I got out and took the wife's car...

I thought about one too but have decided against, if it's that nice, take the whole roof off, otherwise use a full tilt which gives you pretty good flexibility anyway. Horses for courses, of course. Yeah, I might have another look at going roofless next week, looks like fun!

My petrol definitely runs out of ratio before power, I'm looking at a high ratio conversion for the t'box. Cant comment on the diesels I'm afraid.
